CVS Health has quite a few different types of jobs available in their distribution centers across the US. They range from general warehouse positions to more specialized jobs like forklift operator or warehouse maintenance.
List of Different CVS Warehouse Job Titles
Here’s a list of jobs available at CVS Health distribution centers. The list includes short descriptions for each position and the general types of job requirements a potential employee needs to meet. Click through the links to see examples of the various types of job listings.
- General Warehouse Positions - A general warehouse position may entail warehouse duties like trailer loading or unloading, stocking, and sorting. No experience is required for this position but it can’t hurt if you have it.
- Forklift Operator - CVS forklift operators safely and efficiently transport cases of products from point a to point b using a high-reach order selector. Experience may be required for this position.
- Stocker - While constantly standing, walking, bending, reaching and maybe even climbing stairs, a stocker reads merchandise orders that include information like item locations, descriptions, and quantity needed. They select and prepare cases of products and place them in the correct location. No previous warehouse experience may be required but there is some training and possibly certifications to earn for this position.
- Case Picker - Case pickers work in their designated picking area, loading the correct cases onto the belt in the picking module. You do not need previous warehouse experience to land this job, you just have to be 18 with good communication skills and the flexibility to work some overtime.
- Order Selector - Order selectors pick pieces of merchandise and pack them in boxes for delivery to CVS stores. They are responsible for maintaining high levels of accuracy and performance to meet the needs of store orders while utilizing safe work practices
- RX Order Selector - RX order selectors accurately select the needed pieces of merchandise and place them into totes or boxes for distribution to CVS stores. Some of these boxes weigh 50 pounds so you’ll need to utilize safe lifting techniques. You have to be at least 18 with good communication skills and the flexibility to work some overtime.
- Loader - Loaders check orders and load store merchandise onto trailers. They also unload, removing and palletizing store returns, empty trays, and other materials from returning trailers. Working as a loader or distribution specialist can be physical at times, and as a result candidates for these jobs are required to be able to lift 100 pounds.
- Shipping Pallet Builder - A shipping pallet builder ‘palletizes’ products, preparing them for transport to CVS stores. Qualifications for this job are good communication skills and the ability to work overtime.
- Distribution Center Truck Driver - CVS truck drivers operate tractor-trailers and straight trucks, delivering merchandise to stores. They also pick up and return merchandise/empty totes from stores back to the distribution center. You need to meet normal CDL qualifications and DOT requirements for truck drivers to be eligible for this position.
- Warehouse Maintenance - Warehouse maintenance personnel are responsible for general maintenance of the facility and its systems. Must have one year experience in trades like HVAC or fire protection or successful completion of a trade school training program like electrical or mechanical repair, construction, or electrical technology.
